I am an Assoc. Professor (Docent) and Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS), University of Borås, and Co-Director of INCLUDE – Centre for Inclusive Studies.

My research interests concern all aspects related to power and politics of data in society. I approach this broad area of interest from various critical perspectives, emphasising sociomaterial aspects of critical literacy, critical design, privacy, ethics, bias, marginalisation and empowerment.

These interests have led me to study and advise on power and politics related aspects of data, information, and visualisation use and production in a wide range of empirical contexts, including: policy recommendations for ethical implementation of automated vehicles in the EU; marginalisation of indigenous groups in cultural digitisation projects in Thailand; user privacy and internet access in Swedish public libraries; politicised information practices among long-COVID sufferers; and information infrastructures for biologically sustainable plastics production and use.
